This very grown up Indigo girls coat was originally marketed by Marks & Spencer (M&S), so the quality is exactly what you would expect from this major household brand, and the style is beyond question.
The outer shell is a mottled cream/off-white weave, with 3 press-studs for quick and convenient closure and 2 faux-leather buckles/straps (ansl with press-studs) to complete the closure and prevent bursting.
The cuffs are buttoned and, unusually for a child's coat, the buttons actually undo meaning that it's easy to wear thick winter gloves up inside the sleeves if necessary.
There are two generous pockets on the outside, both large enough to take an adult hand up to the wrist, so easily big enough for a child's needs.
The collar is attractively trimmed with (what we presume to be simulated) sheepskin.
The rear of the coat features working pleats, to ensure plenty of movement.
The lining is an attratcive mix of blues/purples/off-whites diamonds, as befits the Indigo label and shown in the photos.
IMPORTANT: In the absence of any labels showing materials, we cannot confirm what they may be.
This is a lovely smart jacket for days out, and while neither heavy nor waterproof it should be warm enough for most places, especially with a pullover underneath. Being originally marketed by M&S, the quality and style should ensure that your little girl will stand out from the crowd when wearing this.
